The Residency at High Science Skin Care offers new estheticians a rare chance to begin their careers with confidence. Residents gain mentorship, hands-on client experience, and the ability to earn commissions as they learn. Built into the program is the Professional Development Fee — a delayed, non-negotiable payment for mentorship that begins once a Resident advances into The journey stage. The fee follows a sliding scale based on the length of participation, with repayment spread across the same amount of time spent in the Residency.

The foundation stage is where Residents establish their base skills in a supportive environment. Here they learn High Science protocols, receive advanced product training, and begin practicing treatments without the pressure of full independence. Much of this stage is spent in tandem with the Residency Director — shadowing, assisting, and performing guided facials with real clients. This approach builds confidence and competence, creating a solid base for growth and professional independence.

The journey stage marks the transition from guided learning to professional independence. Residents step into delivering full services, first with supportive observation and then with increasing autonomy. Along the way they build accountability, client trust, and consistency while benefiting from higher commission rates. Once this stage is reached, the Professional Development Fee begins, aligning repayment with the moment Residents are earning at their strongest level. By completion, graduates are prepared to launch their own thriving practice — either within the High Science building or in a business of their own.
